I'm Meredith Frasier, a sophomore at The University of Texas at Austin studying Geophysics at the Jackson School of Geosciences, with a minor in Business through McCombs and a minor in Energy Management.
My interests sit at the intersection of subsurface science, energy markets, and infrastructure finance. I've had the opportunity to shadow energy investment banking analysts at Jefferies and am attending McCombs Summer Institute in summer 2026 — experiences that have deepened my drive to apply technical skills to real-world energy and finance problems.
This summer I'll be conducting field research in Port Aransas, Texas, gaining hands-on experience in marine geophysical methods including seismic reflection, multibeam bathymetry, and sediment analysis. I'm excited to continue bridging the gap between geoscience and the energy transition.
